The Clinton Legacy Cookbook ~ Reviews
| I just received my two copies of the cookbook. Carlo, I have over 80 cookbooks and this is among the best! That is, it is practical, well written, and beautifully done. Thanks very much. I'd order more immediately, but at the moment I'm buying laptops, Cubes and accompanying games, etc. But I highly recommend the Clinton Legacy cookbook. ~xJones 12/20/2002 |
| This will be the first time I'll ever have a COOKBOOK as a coffee table adornment. You can bet my guests will pick it up immediately. I'll watch and listen as the lively conversation and chortles go into high gear! The design speaks for itself and the recipes are easy to find and read. I just can't say enough about the results of all the hard work that went into this cookbook. I've already lasered into the yummy-looking stuffed green peppers recipe which will be Saturday night supper along with some crusty Cuban bread, a crispy salad and a goblet of red wine for punctuation! I'll toast you, Carlo and the rest of the worker bees who put this terrific cookbook all together. ~Leni 12/11/02 |
| I also received mine yesterday. Unfortuanately it was just before I had to go to work, so I didn't get to read it until late last night. I read until my eyes couldn't focus anymore...LOL Carlo...it's a masterpiece! It's put together superbly. It captures the wit and wisdom of Freepers perfectly. The recipes alone would make this worth double the price! Add the Freeper humor and it's a steal (sorry Hillery, that's just a figure of speech...you'll have to pay for it just like everyone else!) Christie...Excellent layout! The recipes are easy to read and the comments in the margin add to the flavor. How you managed to squeeze so much onto each page and still have the type large enough to read is mystery the historians will be trying to solve in the future...(shhhh...don't tell 'em...let 'em figger it out on their own.) Firebrand...You had the monumental task of editing this work of art. You truely have a gift from God and a lot of patience. I applaud you!! Howie...The front cover is beautiful. It definately captures the spirit of the book! Your cartoons throughout are hillaryous (Ha!). My personal favorite is the Bill and Hillary vultures. Billie...I still remember working on that Clinton retirement pad...that was fun. You always do great work! This is a cookbook that will get a lot of use in my kitchen. I only worry about soiling the pages while I'm cooking (I can be such a messy cook...LOL). I may have to purchase another and save this one as a family heirloom. ~jellybean 12/24/2002 |
| I too just received my Clinton Legacy Cookbook and couldn't be happier. It is one hilarious work of art, a tribute to Free Republic, and chocked full of wonderful-sounding recipes (not to mention a huge undertaking). Thank you and all involved with this masterpiece! I've decided to add Clinton Tails (lobster by otterpond) and Fettuccine al FReepin Fredo (your recipe) to our Christmas dinner menu as mountain oysters aren't in season here right now. | Just got my books, thanks for the autographs. They look great, kudos to the printer. Rarely does the printed art look even close to what the arteest wanted but in this case the front cover color etc. is perfect! Haven't read much of the content but so far it is hillaryous!
